Happy Birthday Ryan!

It's not the most recent picture but he sure looks good in it:) My husband is 27 today, he teases that next year when I turn 30 he will still be 27, but only for a month and a half. For his b-day I bought him the guitar hero for our new wii, he is playing it as I write this.

Happy Holidays

I figured it was a little to late to say Merry Christmas. We had a really busy Christmas like usual. Christmas Eve day the girls and I went to my mom's for the day to have Christmas with my side of the family since we were going to let the girls stay home for Christmas day this year. My mom bought the 4 little girls matching dresses that were dark green, they all looked so cute. We went to church after we ate, the whole time Elise wanted to go see "Baby Jeez" in the cradle at the front of church. After church my brother-in-law Richie was dressed up as santa for the kids. Jordis sat on his lap but Elise wouldn't. We headed back home to get the girls in bed to wake up for Santa presents in the morning. When they woke up they were more concerned about the stockings being off the entertainment center then anything. They opened all their presents and then Chelsea and I put all the toys together while Ryan cooked breakfast. Later we went to Justin and Amanda's for Christmas dinner, it was really good(mmm...prime rib). Friday we headed to Ryan's parents house and ended up staying until Sun becuase sat the road's were closed. We played our new Wii that his parents gave us and the kids ran around all sugared up from the candy and cookies. The last 5 days were fun but I will be glad to get back into a routine. I will post pictures tomorrow when I get them downloaded to my computer.

Pictures finally!

When the girls woke up today and saw all the snow, every other request was to go outside and play in the snow. Last year they didn't really enjoy the snow too much so I was wondering how this year was going to be. They loved it! They just couldn't understand why we couldn't make a snow man or make snow balls. Elise spent all her time eating the snow and catching snowflakes on her tongue while Jordis had a hard time making snow balls. She would go to throw it at me and it would end up in her face somehow. I am hoping if the Cottonwood ski course opens this year to bring them up there to get them lessons. They say the younger they are the easier it is for them to learn. As long as it isn't me teaching them I think it should be ok.
Yesterday we went see Santa at the Mall. I was prepared that the girls were going to throw and fit and not go anywhere near santa but I was surprised by them. Elise was chomping at the bit to see him. Luckily there was only a little baby in front of us because Elise kept saying "it's my turn" and "come here santa". They started off by just talking to him and then he just sat them in his lap and they chatted his ear off telling him all that they wanted. I am going to try to hook my scanner up so I can put the picture on here somehow. Stay tuned....

Pucking, pooping, shopping......

I thought that would get your attention! Last Thursday morning Jordis woke up at 3 am throwing up all over her bed. I took the first half of my day off to stay with her until Ryan got home. Friday was no better so I took the whole day off to do loads of laundry and sit with my sick child. Luckily Elise was really good at keeping herself entertained and helped me more than usual. Friday night and Sat morning looked promising since Jordis slept all the way through the night and woke up cheery. I met my M.I.L in Whinchester with the kids so they could spend the weekend with them and Ryan while I went shopping with my mom and sister. Well come to find out she wasn't quite over her "bug". Now it was coming out the other end:) Ryan ended up taking her into Valley medical to get checked out and like everything else it "has to run it's course". She did get an antibiotic for an ear infection but that wasn't associated with the puking and pooping. She is now back to her normal self and I think she is trying to make up for all the eating she missed out on by eating all the time. I was able to get most of my shopping done so that is a relief. I now just need to finish up a lot of projects that are all half done. Sorry I don't have any pictures to post, I haven't had the camera out much. I am hoping to take the girls to see santa this weekend so if they actually get near him I will post it.

Happy Turkey Day!

Today we had Thanksgiving at our house with my mom, sister Christel, brother Ron and his 2 girls, and Ryan's sister Chelsea. I attempted to make the turkey but had to have Ryan take the neck and giblets out because just touching it made me sick, literally. Ryan thought it was hilarious so he had fun by trying to make me touch it. It turned out great once it came out of the oven. The girls helped me make the mashed potatoes, Jordis handed me the potatoe to peel and then Elise would drop them in the pot. It was so nice having a relaxing day with family. Mom and I worked on a couple Christmas decorations that I am making while the girls relaxed watching a movie. When it got dark we took the girls down to Locomotive park to see the lights. Last night we drove by them and they refer to it as "Christmas". All morning they kept saying they wanted to go see Christmas. They loved it, they didn't quite understand that they couldn't "play" in the igloo and train but they really liked jumping on the mat that changed the light colors. Tomorrow I will turn into one of those "crazy people" who get up before the crack of dawn to fight the crowds shopping. I have it all mapped out, I will go in this order: JcPenny 4am, Walmart 5 am, it's a toss up right now between shopko and Kmart at 6 am, staples after that, Tristate at 8am and Joann's somewhere in the day also. My mom took the girls home so I could do this, Thank you so much mom!. I am meeting Amanda at Walmart so she can get the $88 Barbie Jeep. I was considering it for the girls but they have one that was given to us so I guess free is better than $88. Well I am off to bed to try to get some sleep.

Potty training

Potty training is so frustrating!! Elise pretty much has it down with accidents here and there but Jordis on the other hand flat out refuses to do it. I've tried telling her that big girls don't wear diapers and she's 3 now so she has to be a big girl. I've tried bribery and so much more but she just says "I a baby, I wear diapers". Sunday I devoted to potty training for both of them, I put panties on both and set a timer to go off every 30 minutes. A couple times I even made her sit on the toilet for about 20 minutes but not even 2 minutes after she got up she peed on the floor. I don't know if it isn't registering in her little brain yet or what but I don't want to buy any more diapers, and I don't want a 3 year old still in diapers. Help!! People say she will do it on her own time but she only has until next september to figure this out because they will be starting preschool then. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Weekend happenings

I put one of those clickers on my blog to see how many people look at it just yesterday and it says that 35 people have checked my blog in less than a day, so I feel like I need to post more things more often. Our weekend started off by going to dinner at Bojacks with 4 other couple- friends for Dena and My birthday(which was yesterday). It was so nice to just sit and talk to everyone, even though we made the people at the table next to us leave, evidently we were getting a little loud:) Saturday the girls and I headed up to my mom's to go to my cousins wedding. His nephew Manny was there from Canada so I was excited. Manny and I used to hang out the summers that he would come down to visit his g-parents, now we don't see each other as often so it was really nice to see him and his new wife. Sunday my mom had an icecream cake for me and I opened presents from her. All day yesterday the girls kept singing happy birthday to me but were still a little confused about eating my birthday cake the day before when it wasn't really my b-day. I had a really relaxing b-day, I started reading the book Twilight was able to read about 180 pages by the time I went to bed. A bunch of us that have read the book are going to go see it in the theater when it comes out next week, it's a must read! Well that's about it for me, hopefully I will have pictures to post next time.

Trick or Treat

Elise as BelleJordis as Cinderella Ashlee and Tristan downtown with the girls

All of Gma Diane's daycare kids

This year I took the girls downtown to do a little trick or treating with Tristan and Ashlee. Despite the rain, the kids had a really good time and really got into it this year. After we left downtown, we went to the Veteran's home and 2 of our neighbors before ending up at the Frei house. The girls loved wearing there dresses and of course collecting lots of candy. Now I can put their dresses in with their other dress up clothes, they wanted to wear them so much before halloween that I had to hide them.

Twins' birthday party

EliseJordis
Cousin Aydann Connor and Tristan

Jessi and Ashlee

Well we survived the birthday party at McDonalds! It was so nice having it there so I didn't have to clean my house or have 11 kids running wild around here. They did everything from feeding the kids to handing out icecream and cake, it was very nice for the price:) The girls made a haulin' with all the toys they received. Most everything revolved around Disney princesses this year which is exactly what they are into these days. They got a couple games and activity sets which will be nice this winter when they are cooped up inside with nothing to do I can bring the games out now that they are old enough to play. Thank you to everyone that came tonight, it was a lot of fun and the girls love everything they received.

My babies are 3!!!

Wednesday my little girls are going to turn 3 years old. I can't believe that the last 3 years have flown by so fast, it seems like not so long ago that they were in the hospital in Spokane only weighing a couple pounds each. Now they are talking, potty training, singing songs, counting, learning their colors, playing together, fighting, and so much more. Their party is going to be at McDonalds wed night with lots of friends and family their. I decorated the Dora cake in the picture, that's about the extent of their "Dora birthday party" that they said they wanted, kind of hard to decorate the playland at McD's. I will post pictures after their party.

Farmer's market

On top of the hay pyramid
Elise not wanting to touch the hay
Jordis found me!
Showing me thier pumpkin
Last Saturday the girls and I went down to the farmer's market in downtown Lewiston. They had a hay maze and pyramid set up for kids to play on. At first Elise was climbing on the hay but wouldn't touch it because it was wet but after awhile she got used to it. I tried playing hide-n-seek in the maze with them but they would only go around the corner from me to hide so I had to do all the hiding. Later I let them pick out their own pumpkin which luckily they chose small ones so they could carry them. Hopefully next week we will carve them and I will definately be taking pictures to show everyone. If you noticed I've been playing around with my camera and the settings.

Our 4 year anniversary

Today Ryan and I have been married for 4 years, it's hard to believe. Sometimes it feels like it's been longer other times it feels like it was just yesterday. I've included a couple pictures from our wedding since some of you may not have known us then or seen these.

Hunting!

Last year right after Christmas Ryan bought these camo overalls for the girls. At the time they would not even put them on which really up set Ryan. But now that he has been hunting and they see him in his camo pants all the time they want to wear theirs. He has a dart gun that we was showing them how to use. Of course he had to explain that they only shoot elk, bear and deer, not each other. He really wants them to be interested in hunting so he has a hunting partner since I have no interest other than having the meat so we don't have to buy it at the grocery store. I am going to go out with him this Sunday though, he wants me to see that it is called "hunting" not "killing" and that's why he hasn't shot anything yet. After 5 weekends of hunting it gets pretty frustrating, and we still have rifle season and another archery season before the end of the year. Just call me the hunting widow from now on!

The last picture was taken last night, the girls are always trying to put on their Mr. Potatoe Head glasses on so we all decided to put them on and get our picture taken.

Princesses

Bell(Elise)
Barbie(Abbi)
Cinderelli(Jordis)

Today I am watching my friend Jenni's daughter Abbi. When I found the girls' halloween costumes there was a Barbie dress that I decided to get too, which is perfect for times like this. They all are dressed up with purses, jewelry and crowns, all that's missing is a cute hair style but that would be to hectic to do with 3 girls. So far they are all playing well, but then again it's only 9 am and I still have all day. I just had to share these photos of them.

Fair time again!

Once again it rained at the fair, uhg! The girls actually enjoyed the petting zoo this year. I kept looking for Jordis because she would follow a goat or sheep off somewhere. Elise on the other hand is still leery about touching any of the animals. There were so many people in the petting zoo it was hard to get good pictures of the girls. I was able to quickly glance at the scrapbooking pages to see what ribbons I got and what my cousin Amanda got. My HOME letters that I made recieved 3 BIG ribbons-best in show, best in class and sweepstakes award(don't really know what that ribbon means). On all my other pages and cards I received blue and red ribbons. We bought an elephant ear and then headed home because I was soaked and the girls were cranky(thank goodness I didn't have a certain 26 year old "kid" with me too or I would have lost my mind:) Hopefully this rainy weather is a good sign that Ryan might actually get his elk this weekend. Hunting season is only a third over and I am tired of it already. Actually having my weekends free to do whatever the girls and I want is nice, not having him here to help with them is frustrating at times. Right now my girls are running around in their diapers playing with cars on the floor, so lady like. Well I need to start getting the girls ready for bed time.
