Aiken Christmas

I tried to do a slide show of pictures from Christmas but something is wrong with my computer so here are a couple pictures. We had a very busy weekend. It started off by Friday Ryan and I had our Christmas couples bunco. Then Saturday morning we went to my mom's so we could exchange gifts with my friend Maria and her family. She gave me the coolest gift, Chanel sunglasses, I love them! Sunday we had Christmas with my side of the family. The girls really got the hang of opening presents this year, I don't think I opened any of mine because they were already opened by one of them. Monday Ryan had to work so the girls and I just hung out with grandma Eloise and Aunt Christel. Later that night I took them to church. They did pretty good, Elise thought she was a princess waving to everyone whenever we had to walk up the aisle. Christmas morning was fast, Ryan and I got up and dressed before the girls so after they opened Santa presents we could head to his parents house. At the Aikens the girls had even more presents to open, and opened everyone elses. They got a huge doll house from papa and gma Aiken, Jordis especially likes it. They got so much stuff that when we got back home I had to do some major rearranging of things so eveything would fit in their room. I hope everyone that reads this had a great holiday, we sure did. Oh, tomorrow is Ryan's b-day, he is turning 26! (still a baby)

I wonder if the girls will leave them alone once I put them under the tree, I guess I'll see soon enough.

BLACK FRIDAY INSANITY!

Yes, I am one of those insane people that get up before the crack of dawn to stand in line for things that probably aren't that good of a sale once you sit down and think about it. My friend's Maria, Stephanie, Amanda and myself were at JCPenny's at 3:15 am this morning. I didn't really have anything I needed there but I found some clothes for Ryan and got my free snow globe. We then went to Walmart, talk about crazy people. Once those doors open it's like cattle moving. The people that got carts outside were stuck outside because the people without carts were dashing between cars and butting infront of everyone to get in first. Once you are in there and realize there is a huge pile of that "certain present" you were after you wonder why you too rushed through the store like a mad woman. We finished up and Walmart and hit Kmart and Walgreens right as they opened. We were sitting down to eat breakfast at Waffles n' More at 8 am and were wondering if we should order breakfast or lunch since we had been up so long. Once we got back to my house we all looked like we had been out partying all night, and wanted a much needed nap. I will probably go out again next year but I might reconsided going to Penny's at 3 am! That is just way to early for me, I am wiped out. I am officially done buying presents for this year. Yeah!!!!

Happy Halloween!!

This was the girls' first official time trick or treating. Last year they were sick and we too young to care. We started off by going down town to my sisters salon and then over to Crop Paper Scissors. Then we were a little early to the fire station but luckily the girls' uncle Richie works there. Jordis sat up in one of the trucks but Elise wasn't too thrilled about it. Then the 3 of us went to the Veterans home. Once again we were early but the girls still got some treats and the veterans loved seeing the little "bumble bee and lady bug". Last we stopped at Cori's and then were home and eating dinner by 6:30! At home the girls could both say "Trick or treat" but of course out and about they wouldn't say it. Hopefully next year they will speak up more.

Twins turn 2!

On Monday, October 29 the twins turned 2 years old! I can't believe they are two already. I was excited last year for them to turn 1 but this year was harder, they are not babies anymore. One of their favorite presents they received was their magnadoodle they are playing with in the picture above. They also got horses that really walk and make sounds. They will pick them up if they are off but if they are walking they won't touch them. Barbie's were another favorite this year of theirs. Thank you to everyone that came to their parties and gave them gifts, we really appreciate it. Hopefully this next year won't go by so fast!

First Mug Shots

I had to write about this, it was too funny and made me realize that my girls are growing up way too fast. This morning I was balancing my check book on the computer while the girls were in the kitchen playing with the magnets on the dishwasher(I thought). Well I heard something like a pen cap hit the floor and the girls had been pretty quiet so I thought I should see what they were up to. They had pushed Jordis' highchair out from the wall and helped themselves to the sharpie markers on the table. They were writing on the back of the highchair and Jordis had about a 2 inch line started on the side of the table when I caught them. Of coarse I told them "no no" and sat them in time out but when I sat them down I noticed they each had a couple lines drawn on their face. It was all I could do to not laugh in front of them. So after timeout was done I decided to take their mug shot infront of the "crime scene". They don't look too upset in their pictures do they? I'll have to keep ALL pens and markers up high now!

Trip to Boise

This last weekend the girls, my mom and I went to Boise to my friend Maria's sons first birthday. This girls did awsome on the ride down. They slept until New Meadows and then watched Happy Feet the rest of the way. Friday night I decorated Caden's Tigger cake and then we went to the hotel. I didn't know how the girls would do sleeping in the hotel but they did great. Elise thought she had to sing everyone asleep but she eventually crashed. We did some power shopping on Saturday before the party. I wish I had more time because there were some really good sales going on. At the party the girls didn't really try to help open the presents but they sure wanted to play with them afterwards. Elise was a little possessive about the little firetruck that she could ride, whenever Caden came over to try to climb on it she would scream. The ride home went really well also. We had an extra passenger, Cori's son Andy missed his bus home earlier that morning so we gave him a lift. I think the girls liked him being in the back seat with them, they were flirting alot. Now I won't be so scared to take the girls out of town, so hopefully we'll be making more trips to Boise!

Kids to the strangest things

Can you believe it, Jordis and Elise are almost 2 years old! It's so fun watching them grow and learn how to do things. Lately they are trying to be independent and think they can do things they are not supposed to. They are quit frustrating lately also. They are so dramatic at times, the littlest things upset them and then the fit is on. Elise has mastered throwing herself on the floor face down and screaming. Jordis doesn't throw fits as much but she cries at the smallest things. She is pretty clumsy so she falls down alot which is usually followed by some crying. Back to them doing strange things. In the last couple weeks I have taken more pictures of them doing off the wall kid things. In one picture they are wearing Ryan's shorts, he was changing his clothes when Jordis tried to put on his shorts. Of course Elise wanted a pair on too. Another picture they are sitting on my mom's and my feet while we lift them up and down like horse ride, what a work out for us. Then one night while playing in their room they took all their toys out of their toy box and wanted to sit in it, so Ryan filled it back up with their toys, where's Jordis and Elise? The last picture they are sitting in a box that their diapers came in. Somehow they both fit! I can't imagine all the stuff they will do in the years to come, I just hope I have a camera to capture it all.

At the Fair!

Tonight Ryan and I took the girls to the Nez Perce County Fair. The minute I walked through the gate super mom here remembered that I did not bring my camera. I have been looking forward to bringing the girls to the fair since last year and taking pictures of them. We still had a good time. The girls didn't care too much for the petting zoo. They were ok if we were holding them but the minute we would try to put them down they turned into spider monkeys and wouldn't let go of us. they really liked the fair food-corndogs, pop, and of course french fries. We can't go through any kind of drive thru without elise saying "french fry mommy". It's pretty embarassing at the coffee shops. We then took the girls over to the carnival. The only ride they were big enough for was the carasaul.(bad spelling) Jodis loved it and Elise didn't even sit on the horses. On the way back to the car they were both pointing at it and saying "horsie" which sounds like "pissy" when they say it. I really wish I had my camera for the look on Jordis' face when the horse started going up & down. She didn't want to get off it. Hopefully next year I will remember my camera, I don't really want to pay $5.50 again to go to the fair. The fresh air and excitement really wore them out, they went to bed very well tonight.

Check out my Slide Show!

What a retreat!

It's Monday and I'm back from my scrapbooking retreat. I had so much fun and got so much done this last weekend. I finished 60 pages in the twins albums and I am still "All caught Up". I thought I was going to have to change the name of my blog Friday because I still had a pretty full photo box but I managed to stay up late and get them done. My sister went with me this year and she worked on her wedding album. Cori's "crew" grew to 19 people this retreat. Only a couple years ago it was between 5-7 people. We had a wine tasting night this year which went over really well, a little too well for some people when you see the pictures. I don't have anymore pictures to srap but I am already excited for the next one. I but together a slide show of some of the pages I did, what the lodge looks like, and some of the friends that were there. I'm off to take a much needed nap while the girls are still sleeping.

Husband off hunting! Yeah!

For Ryan's week vacation this year he wanted to go hunting, so being the good wife that I am I let him go. But actually it benefits me more. Now I can get all the things done around the house that I want to and go to bed as late as I want to. It's amazing how clean the house stays when he is gone. You would think the girls would make the house dirty but I think it is him:) Well last week I had to make a little trip to Urgent Care at Valley Medical for three stitches. I cut skin off the top of my knuckle while cutting hair. Not fun! Since I hadn't had a tetnus shot since grade school I had one of those too. I'm still able to work and go to scrap camp. That was my main concern was that it would hinder me at the retreat but I am able to bend my finger now so all is good. Ryan was in a wedding this last weekend also. It was really pretty, the colors were all fall colors, browns, oranges, and creams. As always, Ryan looked great in his tux. It's amazing how a tux can make any guy look good:) This weekend the girls are spending thurs & fri with my mom and sat & sun with ryan's parents. I'm sure they will be good and spoiled when they come home. I'm including a picture from this last weekend. The bride is blowing bubbles for the girls.

Tagged, again

You have to post these rules before you give the facts.Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of their middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had. When you are tagged you need to write your own blog-post containing your own middle name game facts. At the end of your blog-post, you need to choose one person for each letter of your middle name to tag. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

R--Riener is my maiden name and I will always be a Riener. When people from my home town see my girls their first comment is usually, "Oh, that's a little Riener girl for sure." It makes me happy to know that they look like me, I think it's neat when people look like their family members.

O--Obsesive, some would say that I am a bit obsesive about things. From my last tagged blog, you all know that I like to have things a certain way and if it's not that way I get a little agitated.

B--Beautician, I have always wanted to do hair. My senior year I actually signed up to go to LCSC for business management but changed my mind the summer after I graduated. My mom was a little upset that I wasn't going to college, but I knew this was for me. I did end up going to LC a year later for business management and I think it helps with co-owning my salon now. I hope my mom thinks I did the right thing also, I can't imagine doing anything else.

I--Imaginative, I like to imagine how things are going to be or how they are going to turn out. I know all parents do this, but I find myself imagining what the girls are going to be like when they get older and what they will do. Will they be more carefree like Ryan, or more on- task/obsessive like me. Not that I want time to go by any faster, I still can't believe they will be 2 years old in 2 months, I just imagine....

N--Not anyone else, just myself. Recently I read my baby book and a book that my mom and dad filled out telling about themselves and myself growing up. In it when they asked who I was most like or looked like, they both put that I was just myself. I never tried to be like someone growing up and I always did what "I" wanted. I do think I am a little like my mom but we still differ on some things.

That was harder than I thought! I am tagging Tami R.

What a weekend!

I feel like I didn't see my kids hardly at all this weekend. Friday after work I picked the kids up, picked the babysitter up and then brought them back to our house. Not even 20 minutes later we were leaving to go down to serve beer at the Hot August Nights concert, which was a blast. Saturday morning Ryan left about 7:15 to go to his softball tournament and then I brought the girls there at 8:30 so Caylie and Ashlyn could watch them while I worked until 11. The twins were so fussy when I got there, I feel sorry for Caylie and Ashlyn having to put up with them, it was all I could do to calm them down.(which they didn't do until they laid down for a 3 hour nap) We then headed back over to watch Ryan, Becky, and Cori play some more. They got 1st place in the Potlatch Softball tournament! Sunday morning while doing some laundry downstairs I found a not so welcome visitor. It turned out to be a black widow spider!! If anyone know how much I hate spiders you will understand my reaction. I then took the girls up to my moms house so Ryan could set off bug bombs while we were gone. I left the girls at my moms this morning and came back home to start cleaning my ENTIRE house top to bottom. It took about 8 hours but it is finally done. There shouldn't be any more 8 legged friends hiding out because I vacuumed every corner, cubby hole, and under everything I could think of. The whole time I kept thinking spiders were crawling on me, but it was just my hair touching me. If anyone knows any good ways to keep spiders away please let me know because I HATE them!

8 random things

We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.*Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.*People who are tagged write their own blog post about their eight things and include these rules.*At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged and they should read your blog.

1. I am very organized. Everything has it's place, if it's out of place I have to move it back. From the order I put clothes in the closet to how I cut someones hair. I have a specific order and place for everything and if I don't do it in that order or it's not in that place it drives me crazy.
2. I have to have my bed made before I get into it. Even if it is unmade when I get home, I will make it before I go to bed, I also pin my sheets to my blanket. Ryan hates it.
3. I have to clean all of my house at the same time. I can't clean one room this day and another room the next day. My laundry is the same way.
4. I hate ketchup, even the smell of it. But I will mix it with mayo for fry sauce. Ryan puts it on everything, so if I can smell it when he is eating I have to sit somewhere else.
5. I dent the front of my pop or beer can, it's been habit since highschool. My best friend dented the back and I dented the front.
6. I don't like to hear people chewing their food. I have to have the tv or radio on at home so I can't hear the sound. Banana's are the worst.
7. I make lists for everything. I will even write stuff down that I just did so I can check it off.
8. As soon as I get home for work my hair goes into a pony tail and I change into either pj pants or shorts. I will even wear it to the grocery store or walmart if I have to go there. I am not much for wearing dress clothes, comfort it the best.
I don't have anyone to tag, who ever reads this and starts their own blog next is tagged.

Surprising a friend

Last weekend we had a friend turning 30. She wanted her 30th birthday party to be big so Becky decided all us girls needed to throw her a surprise party. Planning it was very hard because Velvet(the b-day girl) was also planning a party of her own. In the end it worked out great and we all had a blast. The limo was so fun we were talking about renting one every couple of months for something fun to do.(we'll see if it actually happens). The strangest thing happened that night though, Chris Bremer out danced us all! Some of us girls were ready to go home and our husbands kept pulling us out on the dance floor, usually it's the other way around with our crowd. All in all the night was one to remember. Enjoy some pictures of the day in my slide show.

The Fair

This slide show is of pictures of the girls from this summer. Well, we went to the Idaho County fair and the girls really liked it. They were a little leary out some of the animals and would only touch the rabbits. My little cousin Luke was trying to tie his steer up but the steer wasn't cooperating which made Jordis very concerned. Towards the end of the night Elise looked like a true redneck child running around in only her diaper and a shirt, she sat in the stroller a little too long and I didn't realize she was wet. I received a blue ribbon on my scrapbook but the competition wasn't the greatest, there was only two other books. I'm going to enter a couple pages down here in the Nez Perce county fair and see what I get.

Check out my Slide Show!
